Meatless Day of the week Recipe: Plantains two ways
Hey all
I wanted to show you another recipe but I forgot the final picture so I will insert one taken via another site ( with credit. ) I made plantains used in South American( Spanish) Cuisine and also made sweet ones that are used in Caribbean /African Cuisine.
Note this all came from Trader Joes running out of plantain chips and me determined to eat some so, I took the pics of the above but no final result pictures. lol .
Very easy to make guys I just as always looked online to see how to make them and they both turned out great. Here are the two recipes.
Sweet Plantains / Chips
- Yellow very Plantains ( sweet)
- Greenish Yellow ( chips)
- Salt
- Oil
- Brown Sugar ( Sweet ones)
- Butter ( Sweet one)
- Peel and cut as seen above
- Put in oil
- Add salt and fry until crispy ( deep fry for chips)
