So I went to hot yoga two days ago. (its Saturday) You know I love yoga. All types, aerial, regular and now hot. I have had this experience a while back, and it was not the best. This was so different. I enjoyed it. Let me tell you more about it.

Bubbles & Bloggers now on Instagram as @the_district_creates ( I heart the new rebranding!) inviting yours truly for an hour session at Illumin8 Studios in Dc (it's right next to my fav store Anthropologie. lol) I was a bit hesitant after I signed up, but I was like " why not what could happen? Just as always, being sore, very sore, you would think after doing this for a while I still get sore, that means I'm doing something right, and well, I am here for it. Did I mention it was 96 degrees in there?

It was dark, it was nice, it wasn't so hot that I could not breathe. I did sweat. I did skip moves because I learned it was okay to stay at the downward dog when something was challenging. This was actually a harder class. I did well, I feel happy, I am doing it again.

They have an attractive deal now: your first week for $19, and there are multiple classes and I bet they are wonderful! I have decided to do it again. I will register and take my classes when I am in town. I travel so much I hate committing to things. I just loved how friendly they were and it has motivated me to do it again.

Now, I have a few takeaways from the whole thing.

  • Hands-on- she helped me particular perfect moves and assured me that I was fine, I did well.
  • It was dark- you didn't feel judged.
  • The advice I never had- I was told how to modify things based on my body top. Being both heavy top and bottom its hard at times.
  • Blocks are my friends- she said to use them freely, do what I can.
Overall, thank you guys for having me, and I can't wait to show you guys my next visit to illumi8 studios! Visit you guys! I promise you will not be disappointed
